Welcome to the Clan. Come on in and let me introduce you to the guys. “Big” David, Stick, Chucky, Mark and of course Mikey. A group of friends growing up in a small fading coal town desperately trying to make it through fifth grade alive. That is until a class bully, some bootlegged whiskey and an admittedly unwise double dog dare opened the door to a long held town legend. Who was this witch that’s rumored to be buried just outside the old Leech cemetery? Why did the adults get so squirrely when asked about her? Was her tombstone really hollow? Does she really answer questions (for a price)? Just how did she really meet her end? The clan takes off to find her and expose her secrets. Along the way they get help from a lot of “ol” timers, town gossips, and a cryptic old man by the name of mister Bill (who seems to know a lot more than he’s telling) and let’s not forget his dog Bullet. What awaits our boys in this first installment appropriately titled “The legend of the Leech cemetery witch”
Along the way you’ll get to know our characters, complete with “quotes” from the books. I think you’ll find a great deal of wisdom in the words. Maybe even learn a little along the way. I’ll post as often as I can, but these boys keep me busy. The book’s release date is hopefully winter 2020 but with everything that’s going on we may be a little late. Until then… read on join the clan and get to know us a bit better.

By Michael Miller Autumn in the hills of East TN is a very special time. The smell of fresh-cut hay hangs heavy in the cool crisp air. Hills and hollers are dressed in their Sunday best; sporting vivid hues of orange, red and gold. An elegant mist hovers at tree-top level, just as aContinue reading “Turkey Delivery”
Ahab…the name carry’s with it a ponderous weight. Scenes of massive wooden ships under full canvas fill our noggins, if we allow ourselves the privilege, we can almost hear the overbearing Captain as he berates the lowly shipmates. With little effort we may go so far as to catch a glimpse of the massive whiteContinue reading “Ahab’s real name was Wendall”
